I’m grateful to share that I’ve been invited to join the Wisdom Holder Faculty for the Trauma-Informed Yoga & Social Justice Certification, created and led by Susanna Barkataki through Ignite Institute
Susanna has been a remarkable voice in bringing social justice, cultural integrity, and collective care into conversations about how we practice, teach, and share yoga.
I’m honored to contribute to this learning community alongside such a powerful group of teachers, facilitators, and wisdom holders.
On October 22, I’ll be facilitating "Building Beloved Community through Embodied Practice", exploring what it actually takes to create and sustain spaces where people can experience a deep sense of belonging.
We’ll move beyond the idea that simply gathering people creates community and explore harm reduction, restorative justice, accountability, relationship, choice, repair, and embodied practices of belonging.
One of the questions guiding our time together:
How do we build community in ways that reduce harm and make room for repair, allowing people to maintain dignity and remain fully human?
The Wisdom Holder series is already underway, beginning with Linda Lopez on September 17, and continues throughout the 2026–27 training:
Sept 17 • Linda Lopes
Oct 22 • Marlene Boyette
Nov 19 • Hala Khouri - @halakhouri_somatics
Jan 21 • Reggie Hubbard - @oreggieglobal
Feb 18 • Lama Rod Owens - @lamarodofficial
Mar 18 • Fatima Al Sulaiman - @soulfulpsychfatima
Apr 22 • Tahara Chaplin - @yogawithtahara
July 22 • Seane Corn - @seanecorn
Again, I’m deeply grateful to have been invited to contribute to this body of work, and I’m looking forward to the conversations, questions, practice, and community we’ll build together.
Curious about the certification?
